Frequently Asked Questions from business owners who have not yet started their company blogs
Q: Who actually reads this sh#@t?
A: You would be surprised! Even a company blog has news that may be of interest to your customers. As long as you provide good, quality information, people will read. You can also choose topics that will get your blog read and shared: featuring customers, sharing news, and more. Listen, you have a business because your customers need your knowledge and expertise. You may not realize it, but you have a built-in audience.

Q: Shouldn’t I concentrate on SEO?
A: A good blog is the best form of SEO you can get. Google (and other search engines) are looking for a site that continually updates, with relevant content. A blog is the easiest way to make that happen! Post regularly, with content that’s relevant to your audience, and the search engines will notice.
Q: Well, I’m on Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn/Pinterest…isn’t that enough?
A: In short, no. All the content you’re putting on those sites stays on those sites, and all the customer engagement stays there, too (unless you’re using those sites to direct people back to your website, especially through a BLOG!) Also, a blog is an easy way to feed your social media. Why direct your social media fans and followers to someone else’s content, when you can be promoting your own expertise?
