I’m a parent, in addition to being a writer, so I often write about parenting. I recently published an article for Medium! The article was inspired by an article I read in NPR, which posited that the tween years are the toughest time of parenting. I wasn’t sure if I agreed–my tweens are pretty cool. (And no, I do not for one moment take their relative coolness for granted.)
Tween parents will get it. However, if you’re still new to the parenting game, you’ll get it, too…sooner than you think.
What are your thoughts? Do tween parents have it the hardest? Or, rather, are we basking in the glow of the golden age of parenting? (No more diapers, no more spit up, and the kids aren’t full-on teenagers with attitude yet–how can you beat that?)
Give it a read and share your opinion! And if you’re a parent navigating the dreaded teen years, feel free to share tips–we tween parents are all ears.
