Let’s talk about content calendars. I know, you were hoping I’d bring that up. It’s the elephant in the room for bloggers. To plan, or not to plan? Are you a spontaneous creative who chafes at the idea of doggedly scheduling out content? Or, rather, a panicked planner who breaks into a sweat at the very thought of having to come up with creative ideas on a regular basis? Here’s the good news: using a content calendar can help you both.
WordPress RI Meetup Details
I’m excited to announce that I will speaking about content calendars at the next WordPress RI Meetup on Tuesday, July 11, 2017! The WordPress RI Meetup group offers insights, fun, and camaraderie to everyone from WordPress newbies to plugin pros. Meeting monthly since 2009, it’s right here in the littlest state in the union (convenient for our buddies in Boston, too!) This month, the WordPress RI Meetup will take place in a fabulous new venue, the Red DWG Library at 413 Central Avenue, in historic Pawtucket, Rhode Island, just outside Providence.
During this Meetup, I’ll go over a few simple ways to generate great ideas, create compelling content, and finally tame your blog through content calendars. You don’t have to be a tech whiz to use a content calendar, either. There are plenty of options out there. For this talk, I will present the pros and cons of the integrated, easy-to-use WordPress editorial calendar plugin vs. a good old fashioned spreadsheet. Two very different options that can help you reach your goals and create some truly kickass content.
